Gondolas considered for Georgetown transit overhaul

WASHINGTON, D.C. — With scant transportation options in the Georgetown neighborhood, the district has explored areas for innovation, including a gondola lift, streetcars and changes to the university's shuttle system, The Hoya reported.

This proposal is part of an effort to better connect Georgetown with local transportation. The gondola plan is currently in its early phases, and uncertainties exist as to whether it will be cost effective, according to the report. For the full story, click here.
