MONTREAL — The Link reported that Accessibilize Montreal members questioned Société de transport de Montréal (STM) board members on whether it had a corporate policy of ableism at an open board meeting.

The accusations stem from a human rights complaint by a rider who said a bus driver refused to lower the wheelchair ramp for her because she was using a walker and not a wheelchair. STM holds monthly meetings where they open the floor to citizens to ask questions directly to board members. For the full story, click here.
