[IMAGE]OnSpotGilligFULL.jpg[/IMAGE] Gillig Bus LLC, headquartered in Hayward, Calif., will now make available the Onspot automatic tire chain system as a factory installed option on its transit buses.
Onspot allows the operator to engage and disengage tire chains via a dashboard switch without stopping to enhance traction and braking in forward or reverse on snow and ice. Onspot also offers a retrofit kit for buses already in service.
Some of the first Onspot-equipped Gillig low floor transit buses were recently delivered to Regional Transportation Commission in Reno, Nev.
