Calif. agency offers homeless free rides

SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority approved a plan to give homeless people who qualify a pass for free rides on its bus and light rail systems, beginning in April, according to SFGate.

Officials expect about 3,500 people, or nearly half the county's estimated homeless population, to take advantage of the offer. For the full story, click here.
