Ind. Senate to consider mass transit legislation

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana state senate will consider legislation to expand mass transit if it clears the Indiana House. The bill calls for the expansion of Marion County’s under-funded bus system and a rail line, reports the Indy Star.

The bill would authorize referendums in Marion and Hamilton counties for residents to vote to raise their own income taxes to pay for a $1.3 billion transit expansion. To read the full story, click here.
