Maglev, monorail touted as options to link Ga. university

KENNESAW, Ga. — While Cobb County commissioners await findings of a study on connecting Kennesaw with Atlanta using bus rapid transit, a member of the county’s Transit System Advisory Board invited speakers to tell the transit board about alternatives, such as monorail and magnetic levitation, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Tony Morris, president of American Maglev Technologies Inc., estimated a 21.5-mile maglev train route from Kennesaw State University to Atlanta’s Perimeter Center would cost $472 million. For the full story, click here.
