Officials want to move a commuter rail station 460 feet south as part of a $300 million arts and transit project. Critics believe the change will cause conflict for cyclists, vehicles and pedestrians.
A new partnership between CBORD, a provider of campus card and integrated security solutions to colleges and universities, and Creative Mobile Technologies, a supplier of in-taxi media and payment technologies, allows Emerson College and Suffolk University students to pay for taxi rides using campus card funds.
The passes would give students unlimited access to Winnipeg Transit, but could cost the city and the province about $5 million.
Late-night and off-campus services appear to be the most popular among the systems surveyed. An increase in bus routes ran a close second. One university just unveiled a trolley service and another is planning a parking app.
The distinction honors the university’s commitment to bicycling and initiatives that promote a safe and convenient biking environment on campus.
