Navistar International Corp. and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG of Munich, Germany, signed an agreement to collaborate on design, development and manufacturing of components and systems for commercial trucks, including a range of diesel engines. International Truck and Engine Corp., a subsidiary of Navistar, will be collaborating with MAN. International manufactures commercial trucks, school buses and mid-range diesel engines. MAN, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, generated $8.9 billion in sales of trucks and buses for fiscal year 2003. The agreement is one of a number of opportunities that Navistar is exploring for growth and to meet its fiscal goal of $15 billion in revenue, said Daniel C. Ustian, Navistar president and CEO.
