North American Bus Industries (NABI) received orders for 70 40-LFW and 10 60-BRT transit buses. Foothill Transit in West Covina, Calif., ordered 42 CNG 40-foot LFW buses per a contract worth approximately $16 million. The buses, to be delivered in fourth quarter of 2006, will be deployed in a new higher speed service with fewer stops. The Regional Public Transportation Authority in Mesa, Ariz., purchased two types of NABI buses -- 10 60-BRT articulated buses and 28 40-foot, low-floor CNG buses, with a total contract value of approximately $17 million. Delivery of these vehicles is slated for late 2006.
