Transit veteran Bill Lochte has joined Kustom Seating Unlimited Inc. in Bellwood, Ill., as adviser to the president. Lochte is the former vice president of sales and marketing for rail manufacturer Bombardier Transportation and has spent nearly 30 years in the transit industry. While with Bombardier, Lochte was a key member of its sales efforts and led an international team to secure America’s first high-speed train contract with Amtrak. Most recently, Lochte completed a two-year term as chair of the American Public Transportation Assocation's (APTA) Business Member Board of Governors, where he was the 2005 recipient of APTA’s Outstanding Public Transportation Business Member Award. Kustom Seating Unlimited is a leading designer and manufacturer of mass transit seating. Lochte will assist in forming and executing feasible strategies to better position the company in the marketplace.
