Capital Metro launches i-Ride contest

Posted on February 13, 2008

Austin, Texas-based Capital Metro launched its interactive i-Ride contest, which could earn riders an iPhone or the chance to become a local star.

The contest focuses on customers’ testimonials about their reasons for riding Capital Metro. Riders can share their stories through video, song, photos, poems and more. Participants can submit a video or audio recording via YouTube. Capital Metro will post pictures and profiles of i-Riders on a special Website, www.capmetro.org/i-ride, and also on popular social media Websites Flickr and Facebook.

Contestants with the best and most unique testimonials could win an iPhone, a $500 gift card or the chance to be featured on Capital Metro bus advertisements. The contest is a part of Capital Metro’s new multimedia marketing campaign to increase ridership.
