The project will include a community gateway, architecturally enhancing the street-level entrance to the Belmont subway station, and will improve the bus arrival/departure areas to speed bus boarding and provide a safer, more comfortable environment for pedestrians.
The current Commercial Motor Vehicle - Operator Safety Training Grant Program awards are projected to go toward training more than 250 people.
The facility is expected to open in December and be fully operational in the first quarter of 2017.
The partnership will allow Brookdale residents to book a Lyft ride on-demand or schedule in advance through a concierge in their community.
