Fort Worth city leaders, in an effort to prevent more delays in building the proposed TEX Rail project, are looking to hire an executive with railroad experience to help run the Fort Worth Transportation Authority. The move could either mean an early departure or a reduction in responsibilities for agency President Dick Ruddell.
The agency is working to improve reliability on its FrontRunner South service, after extending it between Provo and Salt Lake City in December. The new schedule will add a bit more time to individual commutes, but should alleviate timing issues and delays riders experienced before.
The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority held several meetings to determine the preferred type of transit for the area, after narrowing the choices down to a bus rapid transit system, light rail and an automated guideway transit.
