U. of Michigan unveils new hybrid buses

Sporting a maize and blue color scheme and new graphic treatment, the 40-foot buses use a roof-mounted battery system to supplement their diesel engines, allowing for better fuel mileage and lower emissions. Three additional buses will be operational in the fleet by mid-January and three more will be in service this fall.

FTA awards Fla.’s PSTA $5M for new buses

Will use the State of Good Repair grant program funds to replace old buses. Once the new buses arrive next year, one out of every six of the agency’s buses will be diesel electric hybrid.

Orion, Allison Transmission to host EXPO Welcome Reception

Event will be held at Mardi Gras World on Oct. 2. Orion will unveil the new Orion VII diesel-electric hybrid bus powered by the Allison HP 40 system during this event.
