Pittsburgh transit may receive $45M in temp funds

Gov. Ed Rendell proposed the funding to help the Port Authority of Allegheny County provide public transit service while it works out a funding crisis. The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission will vote on the proposal later this month.

SEPTA strike averted, negotiations continue

Negotiations were scheduled to resume Monday at 10 a.m. between the sides, which continued talks over the weekend past a threatened 12:01 a.m. Sunday strike deadline.
