U.S. DOT awards $3.5M for Maine commuter bus

The funding will help expand express commuter bus service that will make it easier for civilian and military personnel to get to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Pease International Tradeport, two of the area’s largest employment centers.

The funds, part of the Obama Administration’s Joining Forces initiative, will support 55 projects in 32 states and Guam to enhance access to local, affordable transportation services for military families and spouses.
