Amsterdam, N.Y.-based Brown Coach acquired a 2012 Prevost H3-45 motorcoach as part of an ongoing fleet update.
The vehicle's Volvo D13 engine uses the Volvo SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system, delivering near-zero particulate and NOx emissions, as well as exceeding 2010 EPA standards, according to the company.
The new H3-45 also features three-point seat belts, Kidde fire detection and suppression system and a Beru tire pressure monitoring system, DVD/CD players, Wi-Fi connectivity, 110-volt electrical outlets, audio jacks, plus ports for laptops and USB charging connections.
Brown, which has offered charter and tour transportation since 1980, serves a broad range of customers in upstate New York's Mohawk Valley and Capital Districts as well as nearby New England. The focus is largely on single and multi-day tours and charters, and Prevosts make up a substantial portion of the company's 22-coach fleet.
