SEATTLE — Four students were killed and more than a dozen were treated at area hospitals when a bus carrying students from North Seattle College and a tour bus crashed while crossing a bridge on Thursday, The New York Times reported.
The crash took place on Thursday just after 11 a.m., when two buses taking community college students to an orientation were headed southbound on the city’s Aurora Bridge on their way to Pike Place Market and the Safeco Field baseball stadium.
The Ride the Ducks tour vehicle, heading northbound on the bridge, collided with one of the student buses, which was carrying about 45 students and employees in the college’s international program. Two other passenger vehicles were involved in a related crash. The National Transportation Safety Board sent a team of 17 officials to Seattle to investigate on Friday.
