MCI delivers J4500 to Calif. operator

To comply with California Air Resources Board emission regulations while also expanding, Ontario, Calif.-based Shalimar Tours and Charter took delivery of a new MCI J4500 coach featuring the latest in clean-diesel engine technology.

The coach is equipped with a Cummins engine and ZF Astronic transmission and meets the current EPA mandate for reductions in particulate matter. Shalimar's new J4500 also features wide-ride suspension, electronic stability control, 56-passenger seating by Amaya and a Proline Blaupunkt state-of-the-art entertainment system.

This is Shalimar's second J4500. Its 12-coach fleet also includes MCI E4500 and D-Series coaches.
