The University of Arizona (UA) Parking and Transportation Services recently launched its Cat Wheels Bike Share Program.
Students, staff and faculty are eligible to use the bicycles free of charge. The 10 bicycles are comfort-style designed, single-speed cruiser bikes with dual pivot hand brakes.
Bikes are available, free of charge, at two locations to UA students and employees 18 years or older who have a current/valid Cat Card. Cat Card must be shown at time of rental and student or employee number provided.
All bikes have a high-quality U-Lock and key, and each bike must be returned along with U-lock and key in the same condition as when checked out.
Each time a bike is checked out a user agreement form, which can be accessed online and then printed out, completed and taken to the cashier booth. Agreement forms are also available at the two cashier booth locations and may be completed at site locations.
The bike loan period is one working day and a daily late fee of $10.00 will apply — up to the cost of replacing the bicycle. Any user not returning bicycle after 7 days will be reported to UA's police department.
