U. of Oregon seeking ways to fund public transit

EUGENE, Ore. — University of Oregon student government senators proposed taking the allocation for Lane Transit District (LTD) student bus fares off the student incidental fee and, instead, fund the service with a fee similar to the one students pay each term for use of the Student Recreation Center, according to the Oregon Daily Emerald. The proposal came after the University's Athletics and Contracts Finance Committee proposed taking LTD bus service off of its budget. For the full story, click here.
