Motorcoach Council up for $250K Pepsi 'Green Travel' grant

The Motorcoach Council’s grant application to “Promote Green Travel and Build Awareness of Green Transportation Options” was accepted by Pepsi on Dec. 1, 2010. The campaign’s voting Web page, www.refresheverything.com/gocoach, is live for the 31 days of December. The Council is asking all industry members to vote daily, and to ask others to vote, to help secure its chances of winning.

The easiest ways to vote is via mobile phone, by texting the number 104781 to 73774 once per day, every day in December. Those interested can also visit the Web page and vote using a desk top computer, laptop or smartphone.

The Motorcoach Council also encourages members on Facebook and Twitter to help promote the contest using their personal and company networks. Facebook users can download the Pepsi application that lets friends vote directly from their page. Twitter users can send tweets with the following hash tags #travel, #green, #transportation, #climate, #eco, #urbanism, #coach and any other appropriate subject that is generating followers.
