Houston students urged to curb car use

HOUSTON — With the community of University Oaks ceritifying with the city of as a Residential Permit Parking neighborhood, University of Houston students already strapped for parking options are being encouraged to use alternative forms of transportation, such as public transportation, biking, walking and carpooling, according to the Daily Cougar.

The University's goal is to have 5 percent of the campus community using alternative methods of transportation by the end of 2012. For the full story, click here.
