Ottawa warns transit users about Twitter impostors

OTTAWA — The city of Ottawa is warning transit users not to trust unofficial OC Transpo Twitter accounts that have been created to alert riders of bus cancellations and route changes, cbc.ca reported.

Two Twitter accounts, one run by an anonymous OC Transpo worker, provide updates on bus cancellations based on data pulled directly from the agency’s website. Ottawa's transit commission does not have a Twitter account of its own. For the full story, click here.
