Complaints double for Honolulu’s accessible van service

HONOLULU — After nearly one-quarter of its fleet was taken out of service in late June because of an electrical problem, Honolulu's Handi-Van service told KITV.com that customer service complaints have nearly doubled in the past month.

To address the problem, the city recently bought 38 new vehicles that have just gone into service. The city also hired three more reservationists to expedite the time taken to make a reservation, another popular complaint among customers. For the full story, click here.
