The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) and Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) will launch a new regional fare product, the Regional Monthly Pass, in October.
Loaded on an EASY Card, the Regional Monthly Pass will allow for a seamless transfer between Tri-Rail and Miami-Dade Transit's Metrorail and Metrobus systems.
The Regional Monthly Pass will cost $140 and will permit unlimited rides on both systems during a calendar month. Discounted rates are available for those enrolled in employee discount programs and for those who qualify for discounted rates. The Regional Monthly Pass will be available for purchase beginning Sept. 26, 2011.
The Regional Monthly Pass was made possible through the implementation of the EASY Card, which the SFRTA introduced in February 2011 and MDT introduced in October 2009.
