Zonar and TMW Systems released a new integration providing maintenance facilities with real-time pre- and post-trip inspection results and remote vehicle diagnostics within TMT Fleet Maintenance software.

TMT software from TMW Systems accesses the Zonar data to identify and prioritize repairs, pre-order parts, schedule service and automate work order processes.

“TMW Systems is focused on continually increasing the automation and business value our fleet maintenance customers receive with our software,” said Mike August, sr. VP/GM of the Asset Maintenance group at TMW Systems. “With the integration of data from Zonar devices, our customers can access a wealth of information regarding the health of their fleet vehicles.”

This new integration provides a seamless process from data collection to service repair. The data fueling the integration stems from two of Zonar’s solutions:

  • Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report (EVIR) system verifies pre- and post-trip inspections. EVIR complies with all U.S. DOT-mandated pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection regulations, as well as OSHA and MSHA equipment inspection requirements. EVIR is easy to use, identifies defects faster and more reliably, speeds vehicle repairs and reduces on-road breakdowns. The data from the electronic inspections provides instant reporting and alerting of noted defects.

  • V2J High-Definition GPS & Vehicle Diagnostics System provides next generation GPS capabilities combined with the real-time delivery of vehicle condition and performance data, in one simple-to-install device.

This new source of real-time vehicle data allows fleet managers to remotely diagnose possible vehicle maintenance problems and schedule service accordingly. Fleet managers can expedite the service process by creating work orders, prioritizing repairs, scheduling technician time and ordering parts before the vehicle arrives for service. Fleets using Zonar’s EVIR receive the inspection results within TMT software can also make informed decisions regarding inspection defects.
