Mich. study supports county transit network

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Transit advocates and local leaders are taking a second look at a transportation study published last year by the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council, which urged a comprehensive, county-wide transit system to augment the “patchwork” that currently exists, mLive reported.

The study also found a great need among Kent County residents outside the six-city area served by The Rapid, especially among people with disabilities and the elderly. A second phase of the study is being planned. For the full story, click here.
