Rutgers U. bus service makes safety changes

NEWARK, N.J. — Following an accident earlier this month where a Rutgers University Police Department car hit a student, Wesley Thompson, an operations manager for First Transit, the company that provides university buses, began directing buses approaching Scott Hall to stay to the left, according to The Daily Targum.

The idea, according to Thompson is to create a safety zone with the buses so cars and other buses won’t be inclined to go around through the crosswalk. For the full story, click here.
