U. of Maryland cuts 3 local shuttle routes

ROCKVILLE, Md. — In an attempt to direct resources to a more popular route, the University of Maryland cut three other shuttle routes, The Sentinel reported. The university’s Department of Transportation Services will put the $60,000 it cost to run the three routes annually toward the Shady Grove route, which would frequently send out “clean up” buses to pick up students left behind when buses were full.

Some passengers on the eliminated routes said there was no discussion of the cuts with them, and are upset over the change. For the full story, click here.
