Illinois bus system creates safe haven for community

With the cooperation of local emergency response agencies and police departments, River Valley Metro has set up a program to help individuals in all types of situations, whether it is a child that is being bullied, frightened, mentally or physically abused or just locked out of their home.

FMCSA orders N.C. operator to cease services

ATA Trail was immediately shut down after FMCSA safety investigators found the company in violation of multiple federal standards, including using drivers without the required medical qualifications, violating hours-of-service rules for drivers, operating without the proper insurance, and using vehicles that were not regularly inspected and repaired.

Amtrak pilots e-ticketing on Downeaster service

Passengers will be able to print their tickets from their home, office or at Amtrak ticket offices and Quik-Trak kiosks. Passengers also will be able to use their smart phones to present their eTickets to the conductor by opening the eTicket PDF document from their email on their smart phone and displaying the barcode for the conductor to scan.
