The multi-phase plan creates an interconnected transit system, redesigns the local and express bus systems, and adds 12 new high-frequency, color-coded bus routes that improve connections to jobs and other transit modes.
The company has sold more than 400 electric buses to some of the country’s most innovative cities and communities, including Seattle, Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, San Jose, and Reno.
The new vehicles will replace buses currently in service that are over 17 years old and account for 40% of system-wide delays, due to mechanical issues.
