Project assessment found that glass used on the structure’s exterior would need to be significantly strengthened to meet safety guidelines. The additional cost would be $7.5 million. Officials may study the use of a perforated metal material, which could save about $17.5 million.

Montana operator declared an imminent hazard

During inspections of eight Rimrock Stages vehicles, FMCSA discovered 79 violations of federal safety requirements, including 33 violations that individually required the vehicles to be placed out of service. Each of the eight vehicles inspected was ordered out of service.

S.F. MTA adds Rotary lifts

Over the next 18 months, Peterson Hydraulics will install the MOD30 lifts in the maintenance garage and the parallelogram lift in the wash bay. The MOD30s will replace the facility’s original lifts from 1974.
