TriMet paratransit to review weight restrictions

A LIFT rider’s concerns over weight restrictions and his mobility device spurred the re-evaluation. The agency told the customer that it was unable to safely transport his device because the combined occupied weight exceeded 600 pounds. The customer was advised to reduce the weight of the device, but not denied service.

Mentor Engineering to equip Calif. paratransit

Mentor Ranger in-vehicle computers are installed on Butte Regional Transit’s (B-Line) paratransit buses. Electronic manifests have allowed the B-Line to significantly reduce the amount of paper they use, and with accurate status and location information now available, on-time performance is easier to track and analyze.
