Carter & Burgess Inc. has named Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) the primary sub-consultant to help manage the Denver Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) FasTracks rail and rapid transit expansion program.

PB will assist program manager Carter & Burgess with planning, engineering and design, and will help with systems integration and construction management.

Denver RTD’s 12-year, $4.7 billion FasTracks project involves adding 80 miles of commuter rail and 39 miles of light rail, building 57 transit stations and constructing 21,213 parking spaces.

Construction is expected to begin in 2008, with a tentative completion date in 2016.
