As part of a larger agency-wide safety outreach effort, The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority will hold two community presentations on cable car safety.

The “Respect the Rail: Look, Listen & Live” cable car safety program is a public safety program produced in partnership with Operation Lifesaver, an international non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating injuries and fatalities on our nation’s railways. The presentation focuses on the mechanics and safe use of San Francisco’s famous cable cars.

The two presentations will be held in San Francisco’s Chinatown area and represent a comprehensive outreach effort to that community. The SFMTA, in partnership with the Chinatown Community Development Center, will also make presentations to other community groups as requested.
