NJ Transit halts Hudson River tunnel project

NEWARK — New Jersey Transit (NJ) Transit Executive Director James Weinstein put the $8.7 billion Hudson River tunnel project on a 30-day hold, while state and federal officials work to forecast contingency costs, according to an Asbury Park Press report. The hiatus comes after five months of review by the FTA and NJ Transit officials to finalize the federal government's contribution to the project. For the full story, click here.
