SEATTLE — A local firm was chosen to assemble the next streetcars for Seattle, unlike previous streetcars built for the South Lake Union line, which were imported from Europe. The six streetcar bodies, being designed by Czech Republic-based Inekon, will be delivered to Seattle for final assembly, testing and maintenance.
