Hawaii rail gets federal approval for advanced construction

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) gave the City and County of Honolulu the go-ahead to proceed with advanced construction on rail, Hawaii News Now reported.

The FTA says the city may spend $184.7 million to begin building the foundation and pillars along the first segment of the Honolulu rail transit route. For the full story, click here.
