Vancouver city council blocks C-Tran vote

VANCOUVER — The city council voted four to three to block a light rail vote that would have asked residents to pass a 0.1% sales tax for maintenance and operation of light rail and bus rapid transit for C-Tran, according to The Columbian.

The members in favor of the block prefer a broad public vote in November asking residents to help pay for light rail in Vancouver. For the full story, click here.
