CTA's Red Line reconstruction project creates 1,000-plus jobs
The CTA's Red Line South Reconstruction Project is helping to boost the local economy and support businesses on Chicago's South Side and throughout the region. It's also creating training opportunities for those who may not ever work on the project. Kiewit Corporation, the primary contractor, has created its "Building Tomorrow's Workforce" program in an effort to create a pool of qualified individuals from which it may select employees in the future.
