MINNEAPOLIS — With Metro Transit’s bus and rail systems rapidly expanding, the agency’s police force has more than doubled since 2012, making it the seventh largest in the state, MPR News reported.
Metro Transit Police Chief John Harrington wants to add nearly 100 more officers over the next five years, and a new headquarters, with nearly twice the current space, is set to open in 2017 near some existing Metro Transit buildings just north of Target Field. For the full story, click here.
