QUEBEC — Following the VIA Rail train crash last week, Canada's Transportation Safety Board (TSB) expressed concerns about the safety of the country's railway system, according to the National Post.
In its accident report, the TSB said there are no safety defenses to prevent trains from changing tracks at a high rate of speed and that the country is falling behind others around the world, including the U.S., in stepping up safety. For the full story, click here.
