While he urged transit agencies to pursue new technology, he also added that common sense played a large part in conserving energy.
Begley, Jr. also suggested that transit operators try doing more to accommodate bike riders, such as providing easy-to-use bike racks in stations and working with local bike coalitions to pinpoint what has worked in the past. He added that he wanted to help the public transportation industry change its image in films to a more positive one, agreeing with audience members that commented that a more positive portrayal of transit is necessary.
