Hatch Mott MacDonald (HMM) announced that Spadina Link Project Managers has been awarded a seven-year project management services contract for the Spadina Subway Extension by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).

Spadina Link Project Managers is a joint venture of Hatch Mott MacDonald, Delcan, and MMM Group.

The Spadina Subway Extension is the largest transit expansion project to be undertaken by the TTC. With an estimated final cost of $2.63 billion, the 8.6 km (5.34 mile) underground subway extension will be the first to reach beyond the City of Toronto limits adding six more stations to the route.

The initiative was sponsored by the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, and the City of Toronto/York Region. The project is expected to begin in April 2008 with an anticipated completion in 2015.
