BOSTON — The Boston Globe reports that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is recruiting software engineers via a popular startup-focused listings website.
The new job listing comes with the hiring of David Block-Schachter, formerly an executive at the technology-driven Boston shuttle service Bridj, as its chief technology officer, who said the agency is hoping to hire a team of about 10 software engineers.
The job listing describes the MBTA’s tech division as a “quasi-startup.” The new team will work across multiple projects, all of which will all be rider-facing, according to the report. For the full story, click here.
