WHISTLER, B.C. — The Globe and Mail reported that city officials have decided to shut down Whistler’s fleet of hydrogen fuel cell buses because the program was too costly.
Four years after being unveiled for the Winter Olympics, the 20 buses will be replaced with diesel buses, which will be an estimated $2.5 million cheaper to run over the course of a year, according to the report. For the full story, click here.
