The Calif.-based San Jose City Council voted unanimously to approve the renewal of Veolia Transportation’s ShuttlePort contract.
ShuttlePort provides shuttle services at Mineta San Jose International Airport. The contract renewal term is four years with six (one) year options, extending through 2023.
Veolia was first awarded the ShuttlePort contract in April of 2000. The company operates 10 buses and has 60 employees.
During the next contract term Veolia will introduce the TransLoc GPS system for the buses, which includes next bus software at each stop and cell phone applications that will provide the public access to next bus arrival times.
