Transdev announced the recent expansion of its partnership with the Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s paratransit services in Denver, CO, specifically its Access-a-Ride Dedicated and Access-a-Ride Non-Dedicated paratransit services.

Services they have operated since 2017. The service expansion became effective July 1, 2023. 

Transdev's Role in the Expanded Partnership

As part of their expanded partnership, Transdev is now responsible for the operations, maintenance, and road supervision for 65% of the Access-a-Ride dedicated service.  

Transdev continues to be responsible for the non-dedicated service contract, for which it works with subcontracted transportation providers.

The contract includes an increase to 212 active vehicles (from 86 vehicles) and more than 220 employees (from the current 100).

“Transdev’s professional transit management, specifically in the areas of maintenance performance, and safety has been beneficial to RTD over the last several years,” said Paul Hamilton, senior manager, paratransit services at RTD.  “We are glad to continue our strong partnership with Transdev for another contract term. We are excited to partner with a team that is experienced in full-service paratransit solutions as this understanding will help to better deliver improved service efficiency and customer service.”
