First Transit acquires Coach USA operations for $22.5M

First Transit Inc. completed the acquisition of the American operations of Coach USA Transit Services for $22.5 million. The transaction adds about 1,300 vehicles and nearly 2,000 new employees at more than 30 locations. With 59 new customers added to First Transit's portfolio, the deal adds more than $90 million in annual revenue. The company's operations will expand into Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington and Puerto Rico, and it has significantly expanded operations in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina.
